We hosted the kick-off meeting of a new Horizon Europe project, thERBN!

The Horizon Europe project thERBN (Thematic European Rural Bioeconomy Network) officially launched with its kick-off meeting on 21–22 January 2025 in Athens, Greece, hosted by Q-PLAN International. The event brought together 20 partners from 11 countries to align strategies and lay the foundation for empowering small-scale farmers and foresters with innovative circular bioeconomy solutions.
With a €3 million budget over 36 months, thERBN addresses challenges such as managing biological by-products and bridging the gap between existing solutions and real-world needs. It will deliver multi-language tools, policy recommendations, and resources via platforms like EU-Farmbook and the dedicated thERBN platform.
Led by the University of Ghent, the consortium brings together universities, research centers, cooperatives, and consultancies from across Europe. Within this collaborative framework, Q-PLAN International, as the Work Package Leader for Dissemination, Communication, and Exploitation, will ensure the project’s results are effectively shared with stakeholders, maximizing visibility, impact, and uptake through targeted strategies.
