Participation of Q-PLAN in the Cluster Meet Regions conference and matchmaking event

Q-PLAN INTERNATIONAL participated on behalf of MainstreamBIO project in the Cluster Meet Regions conference and matchmaking event on 21-23 November in Iasi (Romania) jointly organised by the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) with the North-East Regional Development Agency!

The conference debated how clusters can play a key role in the design, implementation and ongoing monitoring of regional development policies and programmes with a focus on smart specialization.

On 21st of November, Evangelia Tsagaraki from Q-PLAN International, coordinating MainstreamBIO project, participated at the RuralBioUp project focus group, giving expert feedback on the functionalities of the current demo version of RuralSpot in order to improve it into the best possible tool.

On 23rd of November, MainstreamBIO has been presented at a dedicated to bioeconomy parallel session of the “Clusters Meet Regions” conference, organized by RuralBioUp project. In particular, it has been discussed how the MainstreamBIO Multi-Actor Innovation Platforms and the Business and Technical Innovation Support Services to be provided by the project can contribute to mainstreaming small-scale biobased solutions across rural Europe. The Bioeconomy session has been an excellent opportunity for MainstreamBIO to exchange and collaborate with several other projects (RuralBioUp, Hemp Club, BioRural, Scale-Up, CEE2Act, BIOTRANSFORM).

A great thanks to the organisers for their warm hospitality and efforts!
