Kick-off of Mutual Learning Workshops and Field Visits in Poprad, Slovakia!
The Mutual Learning Workshops and field visits under the ALFA project officially began in Poprad, Slovakia on November 26, 2024. The first mutual learning workshop focused on Enhancing the Efficiency of Biogas Plantsby exploring alternative revenue sources, while we visited Poprad-Matejovce biogas plant. Q-PLAN, as the project coordinator, presented an overview of the project and provided info about the next call for free of charge support to Livestock farmers, biogas plant operators and potential investors in biogas
Stay tuned as similar activities are scheduled to take place in Denmark, Italy, and Spain over the coming months.

Celebrating Two Years of the ALFA Project
In November, we marked the second anniversary of the ALFA project taking a look ahead towards the final year of the ALFA project. The day after the first mutual learning workshop in Porpad, Slovakia, project partners convened to plan upcoming activities. Key highlights of our next activities include capacity-building seminars tailored to local contexts in Greece and Belgium, as well as international webinars focused on several topics of biogas. Those activities are set to take place in the next months. The development of Policy Recommendations and a Replication Guide for the promotion of Biogas in the EU is also under way for the final year.
Second Open Call Launched in November 2024!
We are happy to announce the launch of our second Open Call! We invite livestock farmers and biogas plant operators managing manure to apply for free-of-charge business or technical services.
