Focus Group “Education in Bioeconomy: Using art and creativity as an innovative approach”
Q-Plan International organized the first regional Community of Practice (CoP) Focus Group, in Thessaloniki, on Monday May 29th, at Creativity Platform.
The Focus Group entitled “Education in Bioeconomy: Using art and creativity as an innovative approach”, under the framework of the EU-funded BioGov.net project, at which participated select key actors actively involved in the bioeconomy sector to form the Greek CoP. 14 important members of the bioeconomy stakeholder system within Greece had the opportunity to examine the challenges for education in bioeconomy, exchanged views about adult education in bioeconomy and educational skills needed and shared inspirational case studies resulting from the analysis of regional and European case studies.
The main targets of the event were to:
- Present BioGov.net project to the Greek Community of Practice and its objectives so to motivate stakeholders to participate in future CoP activities.
- Inspire the local CoP with examples of bioeconomy education using art.
- View opportunities and possibilities of inclusion of marginalized groups in actions related to bioeconomy.
Βy the end of the event, stakeholders discussed about missing educational programmes, and suggest new ideas of better education in bioeconomy.
