BIO4AFRICA: The first physical meeting of BIO4AFRICA

We are thrilled to announce that the first physical meeting of BIO4AFRICA in Uganda, and third project meeting in a row, is concluded.23 people from African and European countries have convened in Fort Portal (Uganda) accompanied by 34 people participated through onlineplatforms, from the 20th to 22nd of September 2022.

The meeting began with a field visit to the local pilot to see by firsthand the already established operation of the green biorefinery implemented by ’Grassa | Unlocking The Full Potential Of Grass’ and ’Kabarole Research & Resource Centre’. During the two-day meeting the respective Work Packages and the progress of the project activities and the challenges for the upcoming period were discussed. The Project Officer of BIO4AFRICA from ’European Research Executive Agency (REA)’, joined the meeting to greet the consortium. At the third day meetings with local farmers and a visit to ’NARO’, a feed trial hosting site, were scheduled.
