2nd Joint Clinical Workshop “Brain and Mental Health: Innovation, Equity, and Impact” EQUICARES / 2D-BioPAD / COMFORTage

Following the success of last year’s Joint Clinical Workshop, Q-PLAN – partner in the EU-funded projects EQUICARES, 2D-BioPAD and COMFORTage, organised the 2nd Joint Clinical Workshop on March 20, 2026, in Thessaloniki, Greece, hosted at the South-East European Research Centre (SEERC) and also accessible online

The workshop aimed to strengthen connections between local ecosystems and EU initiatives, while fostering stakeholder networking and collaboration. It brought together researchers, technology developers, and healthcare providers from across Europe to exchange knowledge and advance equitable and innovative mental healthcare solutions.

Presentations from EQUICARES and its synergy projects 2D-BioPAD and COMFORTage , along with its sister projects HPV Faster-Implement and SP-EU, highlighted systemic barriers, emerging mega-trends, and inequalities affecting vulnerable populations, alongside broader public health considerations such as underserved groups in preventive care.

The workshop strengthened cross-sector collaboration, contributing to more equitable, resilient, and innovation-driven mental healthcare systems across Europe.
