From Space to Market: the FIERCE project supports SMEs leveraging satellite data, with grants of up to €50,000

In January 2026, the European project FIERCE, funded by the European Union, continues its support for innovative Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), for the green transition and the reduction of environmental impact.

In this context, the project announces the launch of its 2nd Open Call for the Advisory Services Support Program, a support scheme addressed to SMEs — including startups and scaleups — that aim to leverage downstream satellite data for the development and maturation of green solutions. Through the programme, approximately 40 selected SMEs will receive tailored advisory support and mentoring.

The program targets companies wishing to design, develop, or enhance green solutions by integrating space-based data and services. While all space-enabled green solutions are eligible, FIERCE places particular emphasis on areas such as:

• improving circularity, resource efficiency, and waste management,
• secure, efficient, and environmentally friendly management of primary, secondary, and critical raw materials, through the use of satellite and other downstream space data,
• enhanced environmental monitoring and support for evidence-based decision-making.

Who can apply

Eligible applicants are SMEs (including startups and scaleups) established in EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries, that seek to integrate or further expand the use of space data in their products, services, or processes.

What the program offers

Through the Advisory Services Support Program, participating companies receive:

• Free, tailored advisory support, aimed at improving understanding of technical and business requirements and supporting the structured development of mature, space-data-driven project concepts
• Enhanced competitiveness and market readiness, through targeted guidance and skills development
